Hassan
Hi im just trying to get the titan crank pulley fitted. But it wont fit. Now the garage has done what it says in the instructions to heat it up. But it still wont fit. So they saying it has to be machined. Now has anyone else had the same problem? hodge
It needs to be honed. Measure the crank nose, then measure the inside of the pulley. You want the inside of the pulley honed out about .0015" to .002" bigger than the crank nose. Get yourself to your local DIY shop and buy a flapper that fits in your drill and hone it out that way. Make sure you do it evenly all the way through. Don't just go for it though. Do a little all the way through and check, then a little more and check etc etc. you don't want it anymore than .002" for a good fit. mellonman
that seems abit of a knock if you buy something like that you would expect it to fit
hodge
that seems abit of a knock if you buy something like that you would expect it to fit None of them do and they ain't cheap either. Briggsy
its a libbity surely it must be a mistake on there part Totally agree,I noticed hodge couldn't get it back off the crank without a press ,no good unless your doing an engine out job, even then you would have to take the engine apart and remove the crank ..think I may go new oem for my build
Dnk
That's pretty crap in my book, o/e Toyota pulley fits straight on with none of this messing around.
listy
People also run high power on the oem pulley without problems.

Briggsy
People also run high power on the oem pulley without problems. Loads seem to use oem, sats motorsport supra has a full built car backed with sponsors,in 2011 they knocked the bottom end bearings out using aftermarket damper ,2012 fresh build oem pulley 1000+hp still on that engine for this season
Hassan
Great i bought aftermarket thinking it will be better and stronger. But i shouldve just bought oem. Mind you toyota wanted £350 for oem crank pulley. So its cheaper too.
listy
I'm sure Whifbitz do oem "style" which I what I've got, which is just as good so far, for around £280 when I got mine last summer.
Dnk
Lots of parts claim to be uprated but few probably are
SPG
I thought £300 for a Crank Pulley from Mr T was pretty reasonable considering its a vital component.

Hassan
Titan do say their pulley is SFI approved and legal to go 10.99 and quicker. So i hope it lasts.
