Josh42
Hi all, Looking to tart my engine bay up a little without going wild! Thought about painting like PJAVON but just considering polishing the engine casting/intake manifold as its cast aluminium. Any ideas on best practice for this? Dnk
Not wishing to sound rude Josh but either take it off and do it properly or don't bother would be my advice. Here's one i did earlier for a tt Do the throttle body as well and the turbo casing Edited January 21, 2013 by Dnk (see edit history)
Josh42
It's all off Dunk:) All nicely stripped down just unsure on most suitable method:) was wondering how Rob Mitchell did it on the manifold he has for sale currently:)

Josh42
I am, but as I'm about to finish my spare engine ready to be dropped in, I thought it may be nice to tidy it up and wondered if rather than painting it, polishing may be something different:)

Dnk
Have a go and see how you get on, polishing the manifolds is hard work, smooth pipes and billet pieces are easy in comparison as there's much less prep before you actually start polishing. Rob_Mitchell
Buy the one i done, you wont find a cheaper one plus you really need a decent setup like i have to start polishing
