Guest 2jzville
First post on these forums so hope get this all correct.... I have a 96 J-Spec Supra and it has as stock a four spoke airbag steering wheel, I am looking to get rid of this grandad Camry spec wheel in favor of an Original Kouki 98-02 airbag equipped 3 spoke steering wheel. What I am trying to work out is will this fit straight on with no need for major mods to get it to fit? Does the later model wheel have the same sprocket fitment as the 96 car? Also how hard is it to remove the factory 4 spoke wheel and airbag? Any input or help on this one would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Phil

Guest 2jzville
Easy to remove is great (Battery will be disconnected so I can save face), is it just a screw on each side of the wheel under the plastic tabs to get the airbag off and then the standard big nut behind the airbag to get the wheel off. The big thing I am trying to confirm, is are the sprocket fitments the same on a 96 as on a 98-02? Is there one type of boss kit to fit all years of Supra or do they change with the face lift model and as the years go on?
listy
As far as I know, it's the same mate.
Nic
Yes straight swap, although you may need a adapter harness for the airbag. Most if not all Toyota and Lexus steering wheels are interchangeable, I've recently fitted a 2012 Yaris steering wheel on the MR2.
