monsween
Well I've got a leaking fuel pipe! It's the furthest away from the passenger side. I'm guessing it's the return line but can someone confirm? I'm intending on flaring it and fitting a flexi fuel pipe. I know that it really should be completely replaced but dont have the time to drop the tank to do it! Am I going to be flamed for this being dangerous? Havard
I had mine on the NA pieced and ran it for two years without any problems. They don't normally "go" in that area. They are mostly where the pipes sit above the rear suspension in a little plastic holder that retains water.
monsween
There is a plastic cover there too and since the cars been sitting for 3 months it's probably rusted through from that TBH
safcdixon
If its the return line i would just put a piece in, if its the pump line the i would try and replace it all, i had problems on my escort rst with the repaired pipe blowing off once i had fitted a bigger pump and there was more pressure running through it
bignum
Check out your brake lines too.
monsween
Brake lines are ok, bought some 5/16" fuel pipe and clamps to get me back on the road. Anyone know who does braided fuel lines with stock fittings on them?
monsween
Back to the top. I've fixed the big leak but found a few more weeps that were covered up by the main bit so i'll just have to replace them all. Can I uprate these or OEM parts? Ian C
It's just a fuel line, oem it or bend your own to fit (cost vs utter ballache).
