mellonman
have you replace every vac pipe yet?
RB-GTE
No but this is something I will do if the turbos check out good. The turbos will be getting inspected now. and I just noticed something today, When I floor it in 1st gear, at around 4000-4200rpm there is like a sudden slight thrust and delay/loss of power for about 1 second or less. And then after that it keeps accelerating (without turbo's spooled)? -_-
Swampy442
How do you know they havent spooled
RB-GTE
Well I mean it is quite evident when the turbos are spooled up. I don't feel like they are online at all. The car could be pulling at the sameway from 2000rpm to 5500rpm lets say... but really at 4k the turbos should spool right up. I mean my boost gauge reads 0.3 bar that's probably just from the pressure running through the system but I mean when they do spool I can tell, totally different car at that point. mellonman
all i can say is read this thread http://www.mkiv.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?35926-The-sequential-system and check the vsv at the top back of the block that controls the 2nd turbo once again read the link
costas1
do you have a boost gauge in the car ? or even the factory one? what does it show?
RB-GTE
problem solved it ended up being the boost controller, no actual issue with the engine boost controller was completely removed and everything was rerouted and hooked up again with the vaccum lines. mellonman
sounds like the EGBV which would stop the 2nd turbo coming in, its like a turbo waste gate actuator but for the exhuast, if it was stuck closed it means no 2nd turbo but if its stuck open would mean you would be in TTC all the time.first time i have actually heard of one failing its normally vac pipes and vsv's to it, see the problem is that you proved it not to be the EGBV by doing the TTC test and you said that it got louder which proved it opened did it not? i would plumb all the vac pipe back to stock NO BOOST controlers then see how it is. i have a EGBV if you need one from my jpec TT its the large actuator on the down pipe just after turbos how very intresting !! i told you to check that weeks ago on the first page!!! you could of saved yourself alot of grief if you had listened , hope that you have learnt from that
