Guest flyingboy
Hi, Just got my 93 Twin Turbo Uk model/spec Auto Supra MKiv. I got the insurance sorted out on the phone on the way to pick the car up, but there was a wee bit of confusion about which model I had. (I was speaking to a call centre in India .. Norwich Union .... and there was a little language difficulty ... I got a broad Scots accent so both as bad as each other ...lol) Anyway, gettin home I checked online to see what versions were available as options... Heres what was listed. Year Model Body Engine Transmission Fuel Type 1993 SUPRA RZ TWIN TURBO 2 2997cc Manual Petrol 1993 SUPRA RZ TWIN TURBO 2 2997cc Automatic Petrol 1993 SUPRA GZ TWIN TURBO AERO 2 2997cc Manual Petrol 1993 SUPRA GZ TWIN TURBO AERO 2 2997cc Automatic Petrol 1993 SUPRA SZ (NON TURBO) 2 2997cc Manual Petrol 1993 SUPRA SZ 2 2997cc Automatic Petrol 1993 SUPRA FI 3H 2954cc Manual Petrol 1993 SUPRA FI AUTO 3H 2954cc Automatic Petrol 1993 SUPRA TURBO 3H 2954cc Manual Petrol 1993 SUPRA TURBO AUTO 3H 2954cc Automatic Petrol 1993 SUPRA TURBO 3H 2997cc Manual Petrol 1993 SUPRA TURBO AUTO 3H 2997cc Automatic Petrol I remember reading somewhere UK models are just Supra auto turbos (no additional SZ, GZ, letters etc which are import models)... that correct ?? Can someone confirm which model I should have selected. Cheers Mike

Guest flyingboy
Cancel it wirth N.U. and go with Sky, they know what they're on about. it was a change of vehicle for my MR2, got about six months to go, but the quote of just over £420 (for a full year) seemed too good to miss. (Thats as second car, loyalty discount, age 32, 2 sp30's, 4000miles per year)
SteveR
The issues are tho; - have they insured it as a MK3 or MK4? and - would they give you what it is worth (i.e. cost to replace) if the worst happened, or haggle using the pittance that is the wholly unrealisitc book price? You are stuck I guess, if you're half way though a policy FWIW I pay ~£750 for my TT6 (it's an RZ), with protected no claims (5 years), no mileage limitation (at all), european cover, etc etc - I'm 27 and that policy includes 'agreed value' - i.e. they pay me the value I told them if it gets stolen/written off (you have to provide photo evidence to prove condition of course). SKI
I can recommend SKY, they were the first company that understood my mods without me having to explain like I was talking to an idiot....
