Luxluc
What fuel will you be running? I would try to meet you goals with the 6766.
hodge
You'll easily make that power with the 4202. Mine was a gt42-76 on my old setup and made almost 800whp at 1.5 bar
hodge
What fuel will you be running? I would try to meet you goals with the 6766. He will need to run over 2 bar to make that kind of power with that turbo.

Hartmann
if i buy a brand new turbo i might try the new PTE GT42-7275r
V8KILR
You might just make that whp with the 6766 but you would make it a lot easier with the 74mm GT42. The 7275 would also be a good option for 800whp.

V8KILR
Bigger A/R on the 6766 than the 0.81 if it's doable? In the Sound Performance Precision turbo testing that they have done, the 0.81 AR makes more hp then higher AR ratios do.

If you are chasing numbers, then the GT42 would be better.

hodge
danish shell vpower 99 oktan were you happy with your GT42 john ? I loved the GT42. The lag wasn't bad at all IMO, infact I quite liked it. Personally I'd say a GT42 is pretty much a perfect street turbo. Your not on boost all the time at low revs and it comes in really hard. hodge
Just to add, my A/R was a 1.28. The turbo started pulling VERY hard at just over 4k.
Mario
You might want to look at the ''Tial'' ss turbine housing options for the GT42, http://www.tialsport.com/prod%20ss%20turbo.html#sgt4245 You'll need an adapterflange to mount that onto an t4 flange as the tial housing is v-band http://www.tialmedia.com/graphics/SS%20housings/42ss5.jpg Got the GT4202R myself with an A/R of 1.01 not running it yet so no input from my side on spooltime/powerfigures.
