Rear Brakes confusion

I'm a little confused as to what brakes I have on the rear of my apparently 94 NA supra (thats what the log book says! but it is a L reg), I was looking at these:

http://www.dcperformance.co.uk/cheap/2307/toyota/black-diamond-rear-brake-pads/pp425.html

but I took the attached photo (it was a rush job this morning so sorry about the the angle :)) and it looks more like these:

http://www.dcperformance.co.uk/cheap/2323/toyota/black-diamond-rear-brake-pads/pp132.html

and then I can only guess its 291mm diam for the disc from this http://www.dcperformance.co.uk/cheap/10622/toyota/black-diamond-rear-12-grooved-brake-discs/kbd559g12.html

Does anyone have any info or can tell me if thats right without me needing to take the wheel off to measure? I'm sure mines a JZA80, never heard of the MA70.

Thanks

Ahh well its definatly not one of those! its definitley a mk4, I just found this http://www.brakepartssuperstore.org.uk/contents/en-uk/d11851.html which shows the right size pads with the 307mm discs.

from this thread - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?249089-Supra-Brake-setups&highlight=brakes it looks to be right so I'm guessing thats right :D just odd why theres the square pads and rectangular pads, I'm guessing the big brakes have the squares?

I would call your local Toyota dealership, i get genuine o/e

brake pads and discs cheaper than in the dcperformance links

youv'e added.

Take a better photo of the front & rear calipers from further

back and it'll be easy to tell what you have, my money is on

j spec 2 piston fronts and j spec single piston rears

The pads in the first link are for UK spec rear callipers, yours are J spec.
Some confusion in that link... illustration of the "UK" pads that need 17 inch wheels, and text that mentions the 16 inch wheels that only fit with "J-spec" calipers. :)

Probably just the wrong pic, since they also list http://www.dcperformance.co.uk/cheap/2306/toyota/black-diamond-rear-brake-pads/pp425.html for 17 inch wheels, but you'd need to double check.

The picture in the original post shows a "J-spec" single piston sliding rear caliper.

Ahh I think its to do with J spec and "UK" spec mix up, mines a J spec, almost certain its going to be 1 pot back and 2 pot fronts, I'll give toyota a ring and see what they get :)

I'll try and get some better photos, but its tricky with the wheels I have since they cover a lot but from the photos in the sticky thread on brakes in the tech section its looking like 1 pot for sure :D

Thanks for the help everyone

Be cheeky and ask for as much discount as you can get, you can get up 25% on

certain parts but it does depend on how nice your local dealer is and how cheeky

you are :)

Got them a bit cheaper that the black diamond ones I was looking at, and they were the J-spec 1 pot rears :D

Thanks for the info guys!
