Chris Wilson
Why people put water temp sensors in the top rad pipe I have no idea, it's totally and utterly WRONG. Ever seen a stock set up with it anywhere but in the head, or a casting directly feeding the head, ON THE HEAD SIDE OF THE THERMOSTAT? No, because anywhere else is WRONG And EGT probes ideally want to be at the confluence of all header pipes, right at the turbo, on the engine side of it. Whilst number 6 runner may be considered by some as the one likely to see the highets temps, it means a fault making number 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 run hot would go un noticed. It's all but impossible to read all 6 on a stock TT, but on a single the probe should be at the turbo, (and made of Inconel).
