pbryant_knight
Hi All, I'm looking for some help in regards to the best place to jack up a Supra. My jack points weren't the best and started to give way on one side when trying to change the wheels the last time round. I've since had all the sills professionally welded for the MOT (and peice of mind) but i'd still rather not jack the car up there and would prefer a more secure spot. I think i jacked it up on the arm the last time but can't really remember. Pics of the underside of the car with arrows would be of great help due to my useless nature Cheers Peter
Slicknick
Rear is a doddle, just jack it up on the diff, I always use a piece of wood to not mark the casing. On the front my preference is the aluminum front sub-frame just before the engine tray, again jacked up in the center with wood to spread the load. Ambrose7
Hi guys, im struggling with this, i need to jack it up to fit a front lip, but i cant get a jack under the side because the skirts are to low and the jack hits the car before it touches the jacking point on the side, i also cant get the jack under the car to get to the front cross member because the sides are to low, if i go in from the front i wont be able to get the jack out because the front will be to low.. anyone got any MacGyver ways to do this? Kaan W
I jacked mine up in my garage, it's quite secure in there.
SPG
I jacked mine up in my garage, it's quite secure in there. From the looks of your last few thread, its seem's as though your Supra is constantly jack'd up

I made 2 ramps out of wood to get my car up high enough to get a jack under it, worked a treat

Scooter
Use the jack in the boot to raise the sill enough to get a jack in? ...careful you don't forget afterwards and drop it with the trolley jack.

DodgyRog
I use wood wedges like Dunk, just make sure you cut them to give them the ramp effect, otherwise they jump up and hit the underside of the car:innocent:

Remove the bumper? No need to jack it up, easier to fit the lip. Easy peasy

sideexitsupra
Just get a couple of lengths of wood off a pallet. Cut them into a short, medium and long piece and the screw them together. I made 2 sets, keeping one and we used the other set when Stevel was racing his sup. The longest piece is about 2 feet, the middle one 18 inch and the short one 12 inch. I'm sure you can get hold of an old pallet?
