mattdavies
how do you do that ?
Chris Wilson
You need a laptop with a proper serial port, although my converter works fine, and also works with most engine ecus. Google UC-232A, no guarantees, but it's the one Motec recommend and in 90% of cases it works. I still use a laptop with a true serial port whenever at all possible though. SteveC
I had problems with a PCMCIA to RS232 converter, but with a very cheap USB to RS232 off eBay (around £3 delivered), no problems at all.
Chris Wilson
This UC-232A is USB to serial, but seems to be one of the better ones.
