supra_ufo
Hey there UFO. Them Defi gauges, if you have just the gauges, what else would you need a part from the wiring for them and the sensors to make them actually work? I have a boost, oil and fuel psi gauges in mine in a mounting pod but no wiring or sensors or Defi controller. a year too late here but I have a defi controller I also need to pay my hostaing company so I can see the pictures ive uploaded LOL
SupraTRD_MK4
Ah I see. I realised you need that as well as wiring to make the gauges work with the sensors.

supra_ufo
Its been a while guys since my last major update in 2016, I've got married, bought a new house, and had a baby (now 19 months old). During that time, the Supra has been sat not being used much for about 2 years but its now my daily (in an effort to use it and spend money on it LOL) so I will be posting a lot more regular updates. I have been updating alot of progress via Instagram please follow @ufo_supra for those interested. I have been attending a few shows a year but I have been going with local clubs, I will be attending with the MKiv owners club hopefully for some future events, recently attended Japanese Performance show with a few members on here. Here are a few pictures from that show. (i'll post the rest in main chat) Earlier this year, i have had the following work carried out on the car New brake discs and pads Complete underseal, taking off arch liners etc. Here are a selection of pictures of the work carried out. (pictures will be added tonight) Edited August 25, 2019 by supra_ufo (see edit history)

supra_ufo
Latest modification to the interior is the auto shifter replacement. A bloke of FB was selling a kit which had a carbon knob, as ive a soft spot for carbon i bought it months ago but only had the chance to fit it a few days ago. Anyway i searched the whole interweb for how to take the existing one apart and couldn't find anything decent with pics that actually worked so I will make a guide on here but it will be specific for this gear knob i bought however you can get an idea what you need to do.. Tools You need: Flat end screw driver or plastic panel remover kit Cross Screw driver Switch / wires and wire joiners Step 1: Using a flat screw driver or plastic flat end, pull down the plastic under the existing knob to reveal the screws (front and back) Step 2: remove the screws, and put them somewhere safe. Step 3. Pull off the gear shifter You will see a blue cable which is the wiring for the Over drive switch Step 4: Pry open the shifter to expose the wiring for the Over drive, snip the cable as close as possible to the button. Step 5: join the cable to your new switch button and install/relocate to your dash. Its best practice to remove the auto shift surround (where it shows what gear you are in), the reason for this would be to pull the OD cable out to stop it from getting in your way The switch itself can be put wherever, I put mine to where my front spoiler switch was, I will be changing the switch or modifying it as there is a space on both sides. Step 6: Install the new gear shifter, now this part might vary depending on your shifter My shifter came with the following, a piece of plastic that fits into the shifter lever, i assume this stops it from wobbling it also came with a nut that fits onto the Lever, it was also made in a such a way, where the screw you removed in step 2 fits to held the shifter in place. In my case the nut had to go on first, how far you had to tighten it wasn't obvious, as it didn't come with instructions but it was a case of trial and error between that nut and the screw that would hold the new shifter in place. Step 7: Installing the gator, my shifter knob unscrewed off so i was able to trap it between the knob and machined lever, currently it wasn't fastened to the gear surround but I had plans to change it for a manual surround. Possible problems: If you do not get the nut in the right place, even though it looks like its operating, on a drive I ran into an issue when I came to a stop i couldn't get my key out of the car as it wasn't properly in PARK even though it appeared it was. Luckily for my test drive I took some tools so was able to resolve it. Final Pics Any questions on this drop me a note.
evinX
Looks good mate, might want to relocate the MANU button, pull away the oval plastic trim (clips on) and fit a manual surround?
Noz
Love the fact you can make a kit for that. Feels a bit cheeky but it still looks so much nicer than the golf club.
supra_ufo
anyone know why my pictures have turned this way, the preview on the forum looks fine, the orientation looks ok - - - Updated - - - Looks good mate, might want to relocate the MANU button, pull away the oval plastic trim (clips on) and fit a manual surround? I dont mind pushing the manu button through the gaitor, and i am trying to source a manual surround. I want to redo my dash for next year.
