Swampy442
Front upper arms are readily available, I can get you one for 45 quid from my local factors. Its the rear uppers that are the bitch.
Chris Wilson
made in germany also, must be of decent quality A somewhat sweeping and rather naive comment

spikedjack
rather german than china There are cowboys in both, regardless of place of manufacture
Guest aspire
just a personal prefference on my part
Chris Wilson
No way of telling if they are OK or not, short of a basic buy and try for 100K, or send for manufacturing analysis at huge cost. I personally would stick to a Toyota arm until Mr. Someone-Else tried them for an extended period. Probably OK to pass an MOT and shunt the car off though. fastcar
I personally wouldn't touch them
Slicknick
Its all well and good everyone saying get them from Mr T, but I can't be the only one who cringes at the thought of spending best part of £1000 getting the upper arms done, these cars aren't increasing in value and its a big lump of money. Swampy442
Speaking frankly, and no doubt courting a fair amount of abuse, you shouldnt have bought a Supra then. Its a 40 grand car, it has 40 grand car running costs. Yes I understand we're not all millionaires but these are consumables and parts you should budget for when you buy a car. But once done you wont have to worry about them ever again.
Dnk
Buy the cheap arms and see what happens, they have a 2 year warranty apparently, Toyota O/E only have 1 year Just so you know i personally wouldn't use them but then i'm rather anal like that and only use o/e parts, these have all stood the test of time on my car hence i think if your keeping the car then its just not worth fitting unknown parts. I have changed all the suspension, dampers, springs, upper and lower arms including all the eccentric adjusters etc, this added up to what you can buy a TT for now Do a search as guy on here not too long ago got genuine rear upper arms for supposedly half price, can't think of his name but think he was from Ireland I found the thread http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?279763-Poly-Bushes&p=3545398#post3545398 Edited January 1, 2013 by Dnk (see edit history)
