Kaan W
I have braided hose and aeroquip style fittings for my turbo water and oil lines but the water feed fitting at the turbo end is leaking steam after a hard or long normal drive. Its only slightly if you was to look carefully nothing major. I can replace this it dont bother me but why steam not water? Is this because temps increase when let out into atmospheric pressure so by this time its just turned to steam or do I have an air lock possibly with no water in the line? Chris Wilson
It's weeping and the water is being boiled off the outside of the fitting. Be grateful it's a water fitting, not a brake one, and change your supplier, unless you made them up with re-usable fittings yourself? In which case give yourself a good beating

Im not sure what fittings were used as all the engine work was done by the previous owner as if it was me things would all be done properly. In the new year my plans are to replace all the plumbing around the engine with quality fittings all round including both radiator hoses in 24an pipe and fittings. Alot of money for no performance gains but a nice reasurance for piece of mind. Thanks for the reply Chris
