msmile
Hi! I need some help here... Theres a very weak spark on the plugs and the car doesnt start. It happened suddenly, i drove the car to my friends place, and after 15mins it didnt start again. I checked the terminals for the igniter, and found 12v 5v and ground as well, which is normal i believe. I put the new igniter, but still the same... All the wires seem ok, HKS S40i plugs fitted few hundred miles ago. I never had a single missfire or any other problems with ignition or fueling. Any ideas? Swampy442
How do you know you have a weak spark?
msmile
I took one plug out and put to the coil on the rocket cover, ensuring it has a ground connection, and then just tried to start the engine watching the plug Edited December 20, 2012 by msmile (see edit history)
msmile
Forgot to mention - i found the trouble code 14 flashing, but after reseting the ecu, it has gone, but nothing changed...

David P
The Manual gives 3 possible causes, you have tried one, so there's 2 more options. Edited December 20, 2012 by David P (see edit history)
msmile
I did check the harnesses and ecu, but as far as i understand, they were ok. I cant just all the parts just for testing I hope someone has the same problem before and knows whats the problem.
Ian C
I took one plug out and put to the coil on the rocket cover, ensuring it has a ground connection, and then just tried to start the engine watching the plug I'm still not sure how you know you've got a weak spark What did you actually observe from this? msmile
Well i think theres a weak spark, because you can barely see it even at night. What other sugestions would be? Iridium plugs? An they be gone all at the same time? Before it stalled there were no single misfire
msmile
Looks like i was wrong... Maybe the spark is ok. Just realised that i cant smell petrol when i take the plug after trying to start the engine. But i can hear the pump working. Dont know where to start again

msmile
That was a racelogic traction contol ecu. I found a battery cable loosen to the fuse for ecu. As it controls all the injectors, so they were all cut off as trc ecu was off. Simple, but spent nearly 2days on the car and now have a spare igniter

Chris Wilson
The RLTC fuse is an abortion, it really needs the fuse holder changing to a better quality one. I would suggest a blade type in a sealed holder.
