Suprakeith Posted December 17, 2012 Share Posted December 17, 2012 Am looking at painting the rocker covers as have oil leak on one of seals so thought take them off and paint before refit with new gaskets. have looked around where live in peterborough and all can find is high temperture matt black and am after a satin or gloss black really, Can anybody please recommend a good paint and where to get if from please? Tricky-Ricky Posted December 17, 2012 Share Posted December 17, 2012 Take them to your local body shop, 2K or water base will take the temps fine, plus you can choose any colour you want, i have painted all my cam covers, and bike engines in 2k paint and lacquer. Dnk Posted December 17, 2012 Share Posted December 17, 2012 (edited) Powder coat comes in many colours these days The only issue is the one way valve and the seal it pushes into on the inlet side, powder coat is done at 180 C so that seal might not cope with that and might be wise to remove it then replace with a new one.
