Running Rich 2JZ Single TO4z

The AEM's are ok. Personally I would have gone for the PLX SM, I run two on my car.

I also would have insisted on a wideband being used from scratch and wouldn't have installed that kind of ECU on a car without one. That's your VE tables out of the window for a start, and as for closed loop lambda ...... :taped:

I've been wanting to take it back to the original tuner and they do very good work from what ive heard and a few friends have been there. I always questioned why they couldn't have fixed this problem. They are one of the best in my state, but they said the reason was due to size of SARD 800cc injectors its running rich??? After i heard that i was a bit effy on taking it back there. I originally thought the mapping was wrong as well but its been tuned there a few times and i have the receipts and graphs. Not to sure, what they are doing?

i haven't spoken to them yet, but i will call other tuners and pass them the map for them to look and give me a quote roughly how much it would cost and see if they can identify any other problems.

and yes haltech is very popular in Australia. Thoughts of installing a wideband before i take it for remapping??

Tossing between these 3 any other suggestions???

1). 30-4100 Gauge, Wideband UEGO, Digital

2).INNOVATE 3844 MTX-L DIGITAL WIDEBAND AIR FUEL GAUGE KIT

3).INNOVATE MOTORSPORTS MTX-L

Thanks.

There's sod all been done to that map really, over a base map, so I doubt it's had more than a cursory play with. I'd find another mapper that's going to do it properly. Listen to ugp, you NEED wide band Lambda, and it needs to be tied into the map. Use injectors no bigger than required, the bigger they are for the engine capacity the harder a nice idle will be to achieve, and nice part throttle running. A really good ecu and map is needed to control big injectors at very low duty cycles.

As for everyone using AEM widebands, everyone's getting the Syvecs. Whether you follow the crowd or not is upto you. The PLX is the one I use though, they run a bosch sensor too. They're also very well priced. The reason I use them is that one gauge can display readings from multiple sensors. Infact, you only need one gauge that can show all sensors tied into it, boost, oil pressure etc, all controlled over a serial bus. Either way, any wideband is better than what you've got now, even a prosport one!!!

You really need to take it somewhere where it can be mapped properly. I could potentially do a remote control session with you when the wideband is plumbed in, I would be able to sort out your overfuelling at idle and WUE, but would have no way of controlling the ecu when you've got it under load, so ideally needs to be taken to someone with a load bearing rolling road for a proper setup, not the half arsed job that's been done to it. I wouldn't like to think of what it runs like under load!

Awesome are you referring to specific model??? I've never heard of PLX before, but see they have good reviews. I've just been reading on supra forums, everyone mostly uses AEM or innovate.

I'll go by your word and it also looks like they sale quite a few on ebay. And they look pretty good and alot more functional compared to the others.

Is it this the one your recommending?

PLX Devices Air Fuel Ratio Wideband Module w/ O2 Sensor AFR Bosch SM-AFR Gen 2

I'll ring up on monday, get quotes on how much it will cost and hopefully get it working in the next 2 weeks.

Thanks Ben,

Really appreciate your help and everyone elses. You definitely made me shift towards PLX :), how much did you pay for yours? I'll purchase one today if a get a decent price, did you buy a bung or make your own for the O2 sensor, cause i see they aren't included on purchase not a big deal though just curious on the best way to do it. How far did you position it on your exhaust or did you just leave it in your downpipe?

Once it receive it and install it i'll email you and let you know, then you can do your thing on over-fueling

Thanks.

Mine were £115 each. I then bought a second hand touch screen 60mm gauge, but you won't need this if you're running it through the haltech. I don't need the gauge really, it just looks pretty!

I made my own bungs, but have a look on diyautotune.com or ebay, they're not expensive on there. I have one in each turbo downpipe, at a 45 degree angle so that no water / condensation can sit on the sensor and kill it. They're about 6" away from the exhaust housings.
