295 is too big, plain and simple for the reasons i previously mentioned.

 

This is just like the stretched tyre argument and pretty

much a waste of time commenting or giving advice

More aggressive than oversized

 

If you want the aggressive stance of wider tyres, buy wider wheels, or get spacers.

I've just been searching into this a little more and looking at what you have put Dunk (did skim the thread on my mobile first time lol) I think I may stick with my 285/35 rosso's!

A couple of people run 295 on a 18x10 inch rim (i will be doing, run 285 at the minute) without having any adverse effects, but this does depend on the brand of tyre used as some brands are actually wider so to speak once fitted than others. A 295/35 (18") pirelli rosso for example sits perfectly on a 10" rim but other brands suffer from bulging.

Using this current dilemma as an example:

 

10j (inch) wheel is approximately 250mm wide.

10mm each side of the wheel (20mm wider than the wheel total) is the maximum tyre extension recommended by not only wheel manufacturers but tyre manufacturers also.

Therefore, a tyre width of 255mm is correct.

275 maximum recommended size.

235 minimum recommended size.

 

This is always what I have been told, and always go by. Hope this helps and provides some clarity.

Hi Sandy sorry to see this if you we're on coil overs you would be able to raise it up abit , or like others have said down size to a 265 275 rear but the rears are Mich pilot sports and sat fine on the 10jI was running 622hp and 540ft of torque no troubles at all

thanks chaz - its not your fault, i am looking at arch rolling options or tyr options, the fact that the backs are mich P's i'm gutted that i will be going to a tyre that isnt as good. we will see.

I've just recently changed from 275 Toyo's to 295 PS2's on 10" rim. Personally don't feel like they are too big, I think they fit perfect tbh. I had to cut my arches so they didn't rub tho.
