TBDevelopments
Bit of a discussion with the old owner of my new supra about the facelift gauges. Mine has polished rings around each of the 5 gauges, there a bit grotty so wanted to replace with new but were having a bit of a debate to weather they were an aftermarket only addition or that some supras did have these as standard. I've looked on the toyota EPC for UK and Japan and can only find 2 part numbers for this dash piece, pre and post facelift. Now i know i've seen them with and without the rings in pictures and in the hyper revs catalogs. Anyone settle a debate And if so the part number of the polished ring version if they are genuine toyota Tim

Abz
every single one you see? thats me 1 geo 0 then lol Tim Every single one, I have a very low mileage facelift and it never came in mine, I have seen loads without the chrome rings too & know they can be brought off eBay. Though if the information is from Geo I am starting to doubt myself but I am 90% sure it is aftermarket.
Ian C
Mine came with the rings, pretty sure they are oem on facelifts? From a post back in 2003: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?7592-Differences-between-pre-and-post-facelift-cars&p=85778&viewfull=1#post85778 There are 4 brochure pics showing the 5 gauge dash, none of which have the chrome rings. hmm. TBDevelopments
just messing about with him eitherway, but like you i thought they were all aftermarket. Factory would be better for me as i do like them and profer a factory interior so getting a replacement set will be easy enough Tim
TBDevelopments
the set i've got have a plastic feel to them so feel factory but i've seen loads of facelifts without them, even in the hyper revs catalogs that has a bit of the original sales browser they are just black for example Tim Edited December 10, 2012 by TBDevelopments (see edit history)

Guigsy
I had them on my facelift. They are plastic and Toyota oem. An optional extra I believe. Mine were a bit crappy so I ordered some new ones from nic or whifbitz. I don't remember which. Came in Toyota packaging and have a peel off stick on backing
