Rob_Mitchell
Looks great Rob. Very quick service from Noel. He has built it great for me, its a fibreglass mould with carbon layer. Super strong! He did say yours was a demo and was meant to go back for a FULL one piece mould made from it! thats why it looked a bit untidy underneath. I look forward to see how my way works out though.

jim
It's hands down THE nicest bonnet for the Supra, if you can get this one to work so that it's got the looks of the DoLuck but the fitment of a stock then you'd surely be able to make money on something like this Rob, bound to be interest both here and across the pond. Hope it goes well bud
Rob_Mitchell
Without jumping into things it is something we have talked about doing BUT i always like to try a demo out first, so no better than to try it on my car first.
d-_-b
Awesome work dude, sounds a good plan with how to approach the skin on the hood. your plan will also keep the regidity of the stock hood which is always a plus!! Looking forward to the updates!!!
Rob_Mitchell
Well its been a mission but i got alot done, including squeezing my hand in the rivet gun!!! %$&^&*(*& THAT HURT!!!! First job i did was to remove the rest of the stock skin around the lights. First thing do was to rivet the stock skin to frame work at the front as it looks messy through the vent!. I then marked out and drilled the 25 holes down each side of the hump and through the stock skin. Removed the hump and chucked loads of bonding agent onto to the stock bonnet skin and then riveted on the hump!. Attached the around the front with smaller rivets. Rob_Mitchell
Nice work Rob! Definately not going anywhere! , Still got fibreglass work and bit of filler work to do.
Rob_Mitchell
Ground away the rivet heads and got the DA on the hump and featherd down the edge so we can start fibreglass work. Got the fibreglass work all done, we always use the matting sheet and mix our own resin, instead of the pre mixed fibreglass in a tin. All done and waiting to cure before a little rub down and then we can start filler work. These bonnets will soon be available for anyone interested BUT ill do another thread, dont reply about them on this thread.. this thread is purely so you can see how much work is involved in creating a DAW LUCK bonnet. Josh
That's looking brilliant so far! I love the look of the Do Luck bonnet, but for me personally, I'd like to see one with the intake, but without the hump.

I love the look of the Do Luck bonnet, but for me personally, I'd like to see one with the intake, but without the hump. That would be impossible as the vent is built in the hump. If you build the vent in just a stock bonnet it would hit things when shut/prob wont shut.
