Another NA/TT Lowering Spring Question........

Hi All,

I've done a lot of searching on here regarding aftermarket springs. Not really sure if i'm going in that direction just yet, just doing me research!

I've noticed that there are quite a few references to "make sure you get ones specific for the NA" on here when talking aftermarket- but I can't find any part numbers through eibach or tein to find NA specific springs.

The only ones I can find listed for the JZA80 are:

Eibach Pro Kit 8222-140

Tein S-Tech SKT60-KVB00

Did they at one time make NA specific ones, and they are now discontinued?

Thanks for any help :)

Dan.

I bought some Tein ones (think they were Street Basis??) last month for my NA. Have only had time to fit the fronts so far but they fitted fine. I don't imagine I'll have any trouble with the rears. The supplier said the only difference was that the TT cars are a bit heavier so the shocks are set up for that. The ride is a bit hard but fine for me despite advice on here saying I'd find them too stiff (Probably just used to it as the shocks the car cam with from Japan were very stiff too). Don't throw away your old shocks though (like I stupidly did), as you might need the top mounts, bump rubber and dust covers for the Tein shocks!

I got mine from Demon Tweeks, just give them a call and they'll make sure you get the right ones.

Hope that's helpful :)

cheers for the responses fellas, good food for thought there :) i'm trying to avoid coilovers because of regs- my usual track group allow them in the lower classes but another group i'm looking to sprint with don't allow them in their stock class.

more thought needed before parting with the hard earned, cheers :) its more for a stiffer spring rather than the "lowering look" by the way ;)
