DodgyRog
I have aquired a nearly new TRD Panel Filter recently and I already have a K&N Washable Panel Filter I am not sure if the TRD Filter is washable, it is difficult to tell if it's a paper filter or fabric, but I know they are very expensive, which is why I am thinking they maybe washable So anyone know for definate as I want to keep a washable filter for convience really, so will keep the K&N if the TRD is not washable Cheers Rog Edited December 4, 2012 by DodgyRog (see edit history)

Yeah it's difficult to tell by looking and I have done a bit of searching and get mixed results, mainly on the US site and Aus one, they all think it's the best filter, but some threads say it is washable I have it sat on the desk in front of me and the material seems to be more like a fabric than paper, but don't want to destroy an expensive filter by washing it and making it a a paper mess on a red TRD frame
Boge
http://my.is/forums/f88/trd-vs-k-n-air-filter-285271/ Looks like its washable like the k&n just a different oil?

From what I can gather there is a washable one and a Paper one, I think I have the washable one, it feels to soft and slightly fluffy Think I might just wash a small corner and see what happens If it is washable, do I keep the TRD or K&N though:rolleyes: Edited December 5, 2012 by DodgyRog (see edit history)

pedrosixfour
i'll check the box mine came in tomorrow, see if theres anything to be learned from that.
DodgyRog
Keep the k&n and give me the trd For now I will keep both, but once I have tried cleaning the TRD, if it stays in one piece, I will proberbly sell on the K&N i'll check the box mine came in tomorrow, see if theres anything to be learned from that. The info seems really sketchy, which is surprising considering the cost and that people seem to regard them highly
