scott87
Ive got a jap import Supra and the rear fog light has been fitted at the bottom of the rear bumper. There is a switch on the dash, ive looked at the loom on the light, it has 2 wires that run up to the rear brake light. The fog only comes on when the sides are turned on as it should. My question is can someone help me wire it so that i can removed the extra light and the switch operates one in the rear cluster. I have uk spec rear lights on my car i think:
Gaz6002
A quick search found this: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?80479-Fog-Light-Conversions-for-beginners&highlight=rear+fog+light+wiring
scott87
I saw this thanks. But that is with jap rear lights?! I think i have all the wiring waiting as the fog is working, so was hoping it would be a simple take the wires from the 'extra' fog and wire them to one of the bulbs in the rear light cluster. Kaan W
If I remember correctly mate, in the connecter on the car loom for the rear lights there should be a purple wire, that is the fog light on mine. Not sure what wire it goes to on the light cluster as there a different colour. See if you have a purple wire...

The fog switch on the indicator stalks does nothing at all. It is purely the switch on the dash that has been added. But i assume if i have the loom with the fog light wiring i could just splice straight into this?
Kaan W
Yes thats correct mate, I have a feeling that you wont have the purple wire in your loom but you should have 6 wires in the light side of the loom which means 1 of the 6 will go to nothing, and thats where you wire your existing switch and wire. Nic
The fog switch on the indicator stalks does nothing at all. It is purely the switch on the dash that has been added. The switch on the indicator stalk is for the front fog lights. The UK Supra was factory fitted with rear fog lights the switch (part number 84165-14010) was mounted to the right of the ignition.
