Marco79
A little while ago I bought a boostlogic crankpulley from a member on here who has since disappeared so I can't ask him, does anyone know if these Would normally come with a crankpulley bolt? The stock bolt washer (non removable) is far too big for this pulley and i need a solution
RobUK
It would appear it should come with a bolt/washer http://www.boostlogic.com/parts/supra/info_supra_Damper.html
David P
If the stock bolt length is correct, file the diameter down to fit.

It's massively oversized but not impossible, I wouldn't think the length to be too different!
Dnk
I'd pop it on a lathe rather than file it down !
Marco79
I'd pop it on a lathe rather than file it down ! Problem is mate the washer doesn't remove from the bolt (money sent btw )
Dnk
How much needs to come off the washer ? Got your paypal by the way
Marco79
How much needs to come off the washer ? Got your paypal by the way Sweet about 3/16" bud IF the bolt is the right length I would have to mark out a line and use a grinder on it with a vice clamping it
Dnk
Can you not put the bolt in the lathe chuck, hold on the shank of the bolt, push the bolt head/washer up tight to the jaws and put a couple of small tack welds on the washer to the head ? Then turn the washer down

Dnk
Okay, tack weld the washer to the bolt head then grind it free hand on a bench grinder

Dnk
If you had a nut to fit the thread you could use extra washers and lock the main washer to the bolt head to save you tack welding it

Chris Wilson
Just buy a new bolt of the correct length and get a suitable (thick) washer made. Or carefully (no nicking the bolt!!!) hacksaw the washer off and get a new one made the right size, if the bolt is the correct length. I needed over 75 tonnes to press a BL damper hub off a crank a bit ago. The fit is appalling, don't they say they need honing out to fit? You can easily damage the crank pulling one on with the bolt, that's too tight, and with the crank in the engine it will nigh on impossible to get off. Won't it Hodge Personally if they sell a critical component like a crank damper with the hub not bored to the right size I wouldn't have any faith in the rest of the thing. suprasurrey
The washer can be turned down quite easily. I`m not keen on the idea of hand grinding/ filing it to size, as this could affect the balance if it`s not concentric. If you could post this to me with the required dimension I`ll sort it out for you free of charge;) pm me if you`re interested.

I need to measure up yet to confirm bolt length, not sure about the honing mate as this is a lovely fit, same fit as my stock one

That would be awesome mate, pm en route I do need to measure up the length to be 100% first
