LOGIE
OK so its time to get this fixed as ive been without a daily driver for about 4 months now. My Mk1 RAV4 is slipping out of 5th gear (common problem) and im currently replacing fifth gear, synchro, needle bearing, retainer bearing, transmission sleeve and a few other bits i pretty much know how to do the fix and have all the parts however...How do i remove the Gear/cog/sprocket in the pic? It has a dipped edge which prevents it from screwing off.... Please forgive the pic quality naff HTC camera phone Thanks
RobD
Knock the tab that's bent up with a small chisel or screw driver and hammer then undo, the gear itself will need to be pulled off using a puller
