MOT question, brake wear warning

There's a visual check on pad wear ("a brake lining or pad insecure or less than 1.5 mm thick at any point"), but I can't see anything about the pad wear warning lamp, only the ABS and brake fluid level lamps.

EDIT:

Anyway, doesn't it stay off if you disconnect the wires from the pads?

I thought from April 2012 any warning light on the dash board was a failing item?

As far as I am aware removing the bulb does not work because the testers look for the bulbs to illuminate when they turn the ignition on.

Saying that just checked VOSA and their changes state:-

Other dashboard warning lights

For cars fitted with ESC (electronic stability control) the warning light should come on and then extinguish after a few seconds. If it stays on to warn of a fault, the car will fail. This also applies to warning lights for cars fitted with electric power steering, brake fluid warning lights, tyre pressure monitors, air bags lights and seat belt pre-tensioner warnings.

Power steering fluid level & electric steering malfunction

For cars with hydraulic power steering, the reservoir will be check to make sure the fluid level is above the minimum mark. (Cars where the level is not visible without removing the cap will not be checked.)

For cars with electric power steering, the malfunction light on the dashboard should come on and then extinguish after the car is started.

The wear down light does not get a mention here

The pads are all brand new, replaced by my own fair hands. But the indicator cables have been on the car for a long time, hanging free, probably since before the last pad rotation. Could take the bulb out but Im sure any tester will look at the brakes, see some nasty looking wires hanging about and know something was afoot lol.

I knew about the ABS, just have to see how particular the tester is.
