Hammer
Any pics. mate. I used to take my MK1 Mexico around there regularly, lifting the front wheel through quarry always keeps you on your toes. That's a very quick fastest lap, well done. Nikue
To be honest I am not a big fan of Castle Coombe. I have seen too many cars hit the tyre walls and the track is too short. There are many other UK tracks that test camber, altitude changes, hills and slopes skills with the all important run off when you think your Schuy but your not

Castle Combe is a good circuit for smaller cars in my opinion. Mind you I'm biased my last outing there ended up in a reshell. Well back off the the workshop I go... bignum
The lap times werent to bad,Nice little track i thought, some testing high speed corners, i did a couple of 1;26 and 1;28 laps in damp and raining conditions.
john88
Ouch... sorry to hear that. Cheers, but it happens. It's the risk you take with track days and pushing yourself and a car to the limits. I think I was around the 1.28 mark before my off, My mate was timing me from the side lines but I can't remember much of the day after coming off. I just remember him being stood there with a pint for me as I came out the med bay and him saying it reached 2.30 and I knew you weren't coming back round, So I went to the bar for you! Like I say I think it's suited more to smaller cars, I've done Combe countless times in my old mini and had some really good runs.
