Forgot about this thread.

Turned out my issue was a loose positive battery terminal.

Go figure. Replaced with a nice aftermarket item, car runs like a dream.

After all that... it was the simplest of things! Glad to hear you sorted it, hopefully this thread will help someone else. :)

Well... back again!

Searching the forum as well as figured to post this up and see if someone else has had a similar issue!

After a spirited drive, returned home and upon reversing up the driveway the car started to hunt for idle, would bounce from 500 to 1,000 and back, stuttered and eventually died.

Have tried starting it since, and it consistently can't hold idle, bounces from 0 to 1,000, stutters, dies, it only remains on when the pedal is applied and fine under load ie. taking it up the road it is ok as long as the pedal is applied, dies if not.

Not sure what it could be, going to try run codes when I get back home on Thursday. PCV? TPS? Something in the ETSC-i system? Coilpack? Leak somewhere doesn't seem likely, spark plugs have been changed, there is oil in the gullys so the valve cover seals need to be changed (she's at 86,000kms now so going to get the parts for the major service and do it all in one go).

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks!
