George86
Hello everyone! Repeat the data of my girl: TOYOTA SUPRA jdm 2JZGE (Non turbo) 2997cc 225hp automatic RHD (very jdm) first registration: 1994 color: dark brown gray mica metallic Imported from Japan(Tokyo), passing to London and finally arriving in Italy. a photo at the time of his arrival: below the first updates I have done: (almost all in appearance)! 1) First I reibuilt the entire brake system, the pads were finished, but since all stopped for several mounths, the rust had begun to take its course, so on the basis of a larger project, I took: -slotted and drilled discs -size the OEM=297front/307rear; -Mintex pads; -Goodridge hoses; -liquid motul rbf 660; -stickers "supra" white with black strip; photo pre-operational: photo materials: photo post-works: 2)Then, I took care of the interior, not really in good condition (except seats and doors): -I removed all the plastic, and with my coachbuilder of confidence "Gino" we have always re-painted matte black; -changed the shift knob, ruined that too (since I took the auto oem, not even tell you the price), changed the cap of the brakehand; -mats blacks that I customized; -I took the kit 11 chrome rings for all the instrumentation, wiring redone interiors of all instruments (20 years old are felt); -changed the entire lighting (color blue LEDs), put two strips of white LEDs, one on each side under the dashboard with special button for switching; -taken the gauge of moman, taken UV LED and made the change to the dashboard with a special paint for the hands, which led to the passage under-react brightening extraordinary effect; photos pre-operational: photo work in progress: photo of gauge: 3)Finally, i took care of the exterior: -in some places the glass was gone, in some parts of the paint had been taken, (I will not say how) then agree with "Gino" I opted for a first slight facelift (the second will be made soon, while the third and last step, barring unforeseen circumstances will be done in the spring / summer when ride on air intakes bonnet, side skirts and rear wings, all TRD) For now repainted the front (it took me a lot of my taking a hit, but no big deal), and also rebuilt a side, repainted all the seals of the doors matt black (that the previous owner had done in the same color, in my opinion could not be seen); -I took two emblem of chrome toyota; -Grill Powder Coated Insert Silver(very beautiful!); -the active lip (just the lip, the motor and brackets weighed 17kg.Supra is no turbo, I did not want any more weight); -Open the headlights (chrome skipped), repainted in black and regenerated, also found that one had a small chip, I created two triangles coated with black film and transparent (for now good compromise!) -LED License plate lights, LED positions and xenon kit; photo of the side clear: photos work in progress: photo of the headlights: photo post-works: and this is a photo "art": all for now! to be continued...... George86
a technical question. I have four new shocks the turbo version. these shocks are compatible with my supra? (Supra NA, jap.) Thanks in advance.
Guigsy
They will fit but iirc if you fit tt springs etc to a na the front ride height gets screwed up? I'm sure iv seen that before and the guy had done that not knowing. I guess because the tt lump is heavier? Not 100% on that tho
George86
After so long it's time to go back to update! things done in this year there are not many, because of the "economic crisis" But I resist and keep my passion for the supra. the first thing I update you on the first service seriously done with: new K & N oil filter; new fuel filter; candel NGK Iridium turbo version; Sintoflon treatment (which I always recommend); Oil 5W50 5L Pakelo krypton (which I recommend very much, in my opinion better than royal purple and motul chrono 300v); radiator fluid Arexons; change the gaskets to the valve covers and painted, along with the throttle body, all color cast; general photo: Then, I started to uncork the car, so I got to exhaust siystem: JIC magic, spartan model 505s 3 "with final 110 (really a great sound); Photos from the store and just arrived: In the midst of all this I have changed the ECU, distributor, map sensor and injection module; in diagnosis did not give any error, but the car was irregular, it smelled of gasoline burned badly and the car tended to be turned off; the mechanics who have seen it, they said to do the tests that the damage was in one of these components .... "I arrived there too", I've got everything ... until the problem is solved with the ECU and the distributor; result ... all over again except the ECU that is used. between July and August are back on aesthetics, tired of seeing the paint not perfect I did redo the whole, including the visible parts of the engine compartment and under the hood (yellowed by color and time) I removed the rear wiper and covered the hole, took the kit restyling of the 98 '(side skirts, rear spats with sidemaker clear, and the air intake on the hood); also taken headlights pre restyling version of European glass with chrome interior, also removed the antenna with its module and replaced with a model s2000 style; photos: Following taken shock absorbers KYB gas turbo version with tein S tech springs (about -2.5 rear and -3cm front), carbon front strut brace with red attacks (for road use increased stability-maneuverability great!); Finally, to conclude the aesthetic part, I got 4 wheels XXR 527 18 ", an occasion USA, model unobtainable in Europe, since color "platinum"; measures: front 18x8.75 ET35 and rear 18x9.75 ET20 (it goes just outside); with pirelli runflat tires pzero (front 225/4018 - rear (255/35/18) and bolts black D1 spec; photo of the whole: finally I took a universal air intake system with filter and filter cover.
