hello everyone,2 days ago i presented myself as new owner and don't know nothing about supra or the way it goes..

now i come from st205 gt4 pushing 313bhp,so it was quick and fast.

today it the first time that i open the supra and to my amazement my car just not pulling when passed 4000 rpm:(.it doesn't get to the redline or if it does she will take very very long.i've tried manu mode,o/d off, nothing change.car pull great under 4000rpm very impressed, but just flat dead after.

one thing i've noticed, rev really fighting to go up on 2nd,so changed to 3rd the rev dropped the car pick up a bit of speed, then the same happen.thing is i bought the car privately,so no return.you guys with auto box, does your car rev smoothly to the red line or they are very lazy.my gt4 was so strong up the rev.i wonder if i have made a mistake:rolleyes:.

any advice or help welcome.should i give the previous owner a ring?only mod are superchip and Blitz sus, some sort of bleed valve i think:Pling:[check picture]

BPU auto supras fly along quite nicely, well i know mine does but

then its

de catted with

full exhaust system

ebc

fcd,

new intercooler,

grade 7 plugs.

I didn't think you could chip a mkiv so no idea what the superchip is.

Is you car not de catted, have an fcd and restrictor ring fitted ? if not it

wont be anything like a 400 hp bpu car.

Get an electric boost controller, fcd, 1 bar restrictor ring,

double de cat, grade 7 plugs

and set to 1.2 bar and you'll see a huge difference

As already said, sounds like one of the valves are not working correctly and not letting the second turbo work properly.

I would avoid driving hard as you may do some damage. Does it feel like its surging a bit after 4000rpm? What does to boost to?

Hey Patrick, pull up the carpet in the passenger side footwell and see if its a standard ECU you are running firstly, secondly the valve looks rather odd and if it is supposed to be a manual boost controller then i would remove this. At 4000rpm your man-dangle should be tingling (assuming you are male/or not post sex-Op)

Maybe some members are close enough to have a look at it. Where in England are you?

As leep said (and you shouldnt ignore what he says, he knows his stuff!) it definitely sounds like the boost/exhaust valve things (vsv's).

Especially If it wasn't used much. Mine has done it a few times and after a few hard pulls normaly frees up. But yours may be totally stuck.

Take it to whifbitz or austec. They are traders on here and probably local enough to you.

Austec are currently suspended due to Dude's bad luck.
