hadyn
Right i think im averaging about 18mpg with my BPU spec Supra at 1bar. I've basically spent £80 on Optimax this month at 95p a litre to do approx 350 miles on mostly a road 60-70mph driving. Does this sound right?? 80 squid to do 350 miles? Kopite
that's a lot better than i'm gettin and i'm only stock boost! think some sensor cleanin might be in order for me! although i do have a heavy foot
hadyn
so £80 for 350 (mostly a road) miles is quite good?
Clarkey
I've never paid that much mate .. I've paid aprox £65 for a tank of Optimax when I was running 1.2 and got similar mileage to you. IIRC the literage on the fillup was something like 67 or something like that.
imi
im getting 20-21mpg in london
Kopite
i'm gettin abotu 270 to a full tank (£80ish)
Suprasteve
i'm such a tight arse i only stick £20s in a go. Less painfull on the wallet ! Theres no way i get 87.5 miles on £20 ! psychologically i think by only putting £20 in, the car weights less therefore i should get more mileage out of her. but in reality you use more fuel driving around looking for a poxy petrol station ! RedM
I've done 189 miles this week on £40. I can't work out the MPG but damn, every single one of those miles was fun. Btw, not BPU. Yet!
imi
Number of Miles / Number of Ltr x 4.546 = mpg
RedM
Interesting, thanks Imi. Based on my remembering of last fill-up - one pint of beer / tired, I reckon thats a tad over 21 mpg.
Homer
On my last fillup it worked out at just under 18mpg. For some reason it doesn't seem to make any difference whether its citiy driving or motorway. Will give the o2 sensor a clean and see if that helps, if not then I might just go ahead and replace it. RedM
Oh and Haydn, the second week I had my Supra I did £90 in six days. Might be because I didn't do the £100 first weekend with it.
tbourner
I average 23 mpg around town, don't do much motorway driving. But then I drive like an old man!
kghelmet
276 miles on a full tank,£56 which wife put in for me
Stu_Fraser
I fill my BPU Sup up every 5ish days with Optimax ~£56 and get between 250 - 300 miles and ive got quite a heavy right foot
Pete
Will give the o2 sensor a clean and see if that helps, if not then I might just go ahead and replace it. How do you clean your O2 sensor?

Irvy
Does this sound right?? 80 squid to do 350 miles? sounds about right for mine just took a trip to Oban yesterday - got back today...round trip was 335 miles had a 1/4 tank...topped up with £51 then £26....and just got back with a 1/4 tank that was with both sensible and spirited driving
cornimac
Consistantly boosting second turbo = ~190 per tank Driving pleasantly below 4k revs on motorway = ~290 per tank. Wide spread isn't it! Mines stock with cats in though. Interesting to note difference with a BPU, but it's not huge as far as I can see.
lockys96
its going to hit me right in the face then, my run around car does 66mpg £20 to fill up and does 320 miles, lol

I'm going to make a cd of the second turbo sound and listen to it while doing below 4k:limp:
Pete
It's funny that someone once said that the NA uses similar fuel to the TT. Well after driving my TT for a few weeks now and gotten to grips with all I can say to this is BOOOLLLLOOOCCKKKSSS !!!
supRo
that's a lot better than i'm gettin and i'm only stock boost! think some sensor cleanin might be in order for me! although i do have a heavy foot I would definitely get a new oxygen sensor and then get the AFR's checked - Best thing I've ever done! I don't have any stats but Fuel economy improved bigtime! I reckon it paid for itself in few weeks. Ro
RedM
Sorry to reopen this old thread but managed an average 26 mpg this week. Did 309 miles on £50. Admittedly, 160 of those miles were done at 70mph with my sisters BMW barge sat behind us but still a good result, I think.
Steve
I posted this somewhere else on here. I got 410 miles out of a full tank of optimax. Perhaps could have got another 15 - 50 miles maybe but didnt want to push it and run out
