Supra won't start after conversion

The Auto has a start inhibitor, which prevents you starting your car in 1, 2, 3, D and R. My money is on that. It's only a case of a little wiring. There's a how to, in the FAQ section, it tells you exactly how to do it in there. I can't remember myself.

Hope this helps

John

If it's engaging the starter, it won't be the neutral / park switch (inhibitor).

Does the fuel pump prime? Have you checked the basics for spark / fuel?

Also check theres no damn alarm on it that's causing issues with fuel pump / B+ circuit.

Ok.

Do you get the engine management light with the ignition onto the 2nd click? This will show whether the ECU's powering up.

If so you need to check the igniter has a proper ground, ie bolted to the chassis, not over 2 inches of paint either.

Check you're getting 12v on the B+ circuit, either in the passenger footwell, grey plug, two larger wires (black + orange stripe) or at the igniter.

Also, any bloody alarm on it?

And I don't believe there is fuel either, the plugs came out bone dry and not smelling of fuel...

You need to start answering questions haha.

Does the ECU power up? Do you get an EML with the key onto the 2nd click?

What did you do with the wiring exactly?

There's a b+ feed down on the auto wiring, any chance you could have shorted that and blown the fuse? Have you checked the B+ fuse? It's a right bugger in the drivers footwell.

I checked every fuse in both fuse boxes last night.

Wiring wise I plugged the speed sensor into the side of the box, soldered the black wire and the black and white wire together to fool the inhibitor switch and that's it as far as wiring goes...

The display where the engine management light is, shows only the oil lights due to dry solder....ill swap it for rich.2211's tonight..

You should get 12v on the black and orange wire. Also check +12v to one of the two injector wires if you can get at them, they receive a feed from b+ too.

Even if you've got +12v on them, doesn't mean the ecu is firing up. Do you have anything tapped into the harness down there or is it all stock?

Car has started! I've just took it out, but my brakes bound on after a while.

Will be checking them over tomorrow. Thanks for your help!

No point if it's started ;)

What was the issue then?
