Havard
If multiple lights came on my first thought would be checking all the earths to see if one is coming loose. Friends facelift did exactly the same, eventually found to be handbrake switch was loose Food for thought. H check the negative battery cable tomorrow and make sure it's tight and not moving off the terminal slightly. That thing has been off more times in the past 6 months than a hookers knickers. Are you saying you may not have put it back on tight enough? Fancy a Sunday roast? Alternator problems can cause various warning lights to come on, check the condition of the crank shaft pulley and belt. Battery seems fine (besides the charger saying otherwise) and the belt & pulleys are in great knick as we checked them in comparison to Pixelfills when his crank pulley failed. Onward..!! Kirk
Are you saying you may not have put it back on tight enough? Maybe It does sound electrical though. Edited October 24, 2012 by Kirk (see edit history)
Shane
The brake fluid thing is very common and as someone else has mentioned, it is very sensitive. I had these exact symptons on my old car and convinced myself I couldnt get any more fluid in and it was CW that pointed out that as the brakes warm up, so the volume of the fluid expands. Obviously as you start to lose a bit of meat on your pads the level drops. Try checking it from stone cold and give the resevoir a bit of a shake and tap to get rid of the big air buble that seems to collect under the sloping top of the resevoir to see if you can squeeze a bit more in, or if the lights start coming on more often disconect the plug on the sensor to eliminate the brake fluid level. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?88618-Warning-lamp-but-no-code-stored&highlight=warning+light+shane+brake Edited October 24, 2012 by Shane (see edit history)

Slicknick
Fuel cut doesn't throw up the warning triangle on the VVTi so certainly not that. I have never experienced this problem on mine but the wire for the handbrake sensor light was worn through under the gear lever panel. I re-souldered it and all was well, maybe yours is loose/damaged too?

Just been out and the pads look like new or no more than a 1/4 worn. The fluid is right on the max mark and I don't see how it could possible activate the sensor even if the car was rolled..!! I have never experienced this problem on mine but the wire for the handbrake sensor light was worn through under the gear lever panel. I re-souldered it and all was well, maybe yours is loose/damaged too? I am beginning to wonder if it is this. Will have a tinker at the weekend. Cheers Nick. I always think if it has happened to your car, it will probably happen to mine as they are both similar in origin, mileage atc.
