Getting warning light on, on boost only....why?

I really need to give the car a thorough road test but on Dragoncol it happened for a split second and whilst overtaking tonight I have had the main (!) light on for a split second. Some of the othe lights in the middle of the dash came on but they went off before could see them.

On my way home. Boosted heavily twice and there were no lights on at all. Seems to happen on uneven ground so could be TC related?

I will check for error codes when I get time but I am confused as to why it would happpen. Car seems fine and has never missed a beat.

Opinions welcome.

Happened to me a few times. Oil level warning in my case. which brings up the ! Aswell. Topped it up and it stoppe

Oil level if anything seems slightly high on the stick. Autobox fluid seems high too but I am sure I need to check it while the engine is running.

Sounds like Martin may need to pop over, I was thinking it was brake fluid when you mentioned it on Dragoncol as I had the same issue, topped the fluid up literally a tad and it sorted it, the sensor is very sensitive lol

This only happens under acceleration. It did come on a couple of months ago when braking hard into a bend with Ian Ian and Ste D in the car. I just thought it was the weight....:D

The more you describe it the more it sounds exactly what happened to mine with the brake fluid as when I floored the fluid was pushed back (and dipped below the sensor) and then on harsh braking it happened again as the fluid was pushed forward (and dipped below the sensor again)

No adverse effects when it happens? If you are getting more than one light coming on its not the brake fluid level.

I will need to see it again to be sure. The middle triangle only came on for a split second but I thought there was a yellow light in the middle.

Boost cut maybe? Not sure on the spec of your car. But that would throw an error and ties in with the boost thing.

Car is stock with both cats still in.

I kind of get the same thing on my car. The (!) light comes on. but so does the hand brake one.. Any ideas?

Maybe I am getting confused I meant the handbrake triangle but there is also a (!) light in the centre section and if I was a betting man I would say that it was that light that also came on.

I have just given the car a road test and a half and it is defo not the brake fluid as I have accelerated up the steepest hill in Wigan and back down again and jammed on to try and bring the light on and it hasn't. Looks like I may need Kirk to have a look but my money is on a loose connector behind the dash or a joint breaking down.

That light comes on if your door isn't shout properly as well, just a thought

Could be a faulty door switch but surely the alarm would go off?

I am wondering if it could have anything to do with the battery? My CTEK 3600 charger has been flashing from fully charged to charging on the last couple of occasions it has been on. Reading the instructions it says that the battery is sulphated and nearing the need for replacement. The car has always started first time and never seems sluggish turning over even after a week or two of being sat idle.

If it wasnt for the charger light flashing I wouldn't have any idea of the battery condition though.
