Rich's NA-T

Took a few pictures at work yesterday to show how she's looking now. I still haven't had chance to do the undersealing or headlight tinting just yet which is a shame but all in due time. I am also off the Chris's house tomorrow evening to collect myself a T61 turbo, wastegate, manifold, screamer pipe, turbo oil feed, heat wrapped downpipe with O2 sensor etc. so getting ready for the NA-T build :)

Here's the pics (one day I shall find somewhere more inventive than works car park :D):

Its sits so nicely on those rims. Got to love a black stock body on the right rims!

I'm thinking to finish the outside it needs facelift lights and maybe a Wings West style front lip. Then when I get adjustable suspension I'll drop the tyre size on the front and bring it down a touch. Once that's done, a respray, and the list goes on.... :D

I agree on keeping the pre-facelift lights, they look pretty dam good. Stops me from buying them off you too. ;)

If you want to buy them then make me an offer :D They're refurbed UK specs so no chance of yellowing... you know you want too ;)

As it happens, I do like the all black - probably more so than the facelifts, it's just the pattern on the glass lense that doesn't look so clean/modern.

What lowering springs did you go for in the end, drop wise in mm?

Also what size tyres do you run front and rear?

Yours sits exactly how i want mine to sit, looks brilliant mate love it!

40mm drop all round with 245/40/18 fronts and 275/35/18 rears mate, and cheers she's getting there

After a journey last night over to Chris's house (d[-_-]b), I picked up a fair few more parts towards the NA-T collection.

Here's what I collected:

That's a T61 turbo, T4 divided flange manifold, 3" heat wrapped downpipe, threaded lambda sensor, 38mm external wastegate with 7psi spring, braided turbo oil feed, AN10 braided hose with Aeroquip style fittings (will need a longer section of braided AN10 hose, around 15-17"), 4-3" silicone reducer and screamer pipe.

Need to sort out an intercooler, pipework, management, air filter, 4 runner disi cap, oil return flange etc. next and then the build can start!

Looks awesome, I was a knats chuff away from purchasing a set of those. Do you run a spacer on the fronts?

Thanks dude, I love them sits just right. I'm running 235/40/18 ronts and 265/35/18 rears, but i'll more than likely get the same sizes as yours when the time comes for fresh rubber.

I'm not running front spacers but will look into it as I think it will complete the look.

Sounds good, where did you purchase the spring if you dont mind me asking?

Struggling to find springs for the non turbos, they all seem to be for turbo supras which i heard are a harder spring rate so wont sit as described on the n/a's

eBay mate, these springs were actually advertised as TT springs but from what I remember I did some looking into it and the spring rates on these were the same as what I'd seen on some NA specific sets. They sit okay for my liking, plus there's soon to be the weight of a turbo on there anyway :D

Great to meet you as well bud

If there is one thing that picture shows, asides from how close to scraping the floor it was, it's that I really need a FMIC filling that wide mouth of the bumper :D

  • 2 weeks later...

Gave the car a good polish last weekend and took some pics :D I also attended a local JDM car meet so a few pictures are from there. She will be coming off the road any time soon for the NA-T build so it was good to get some pictures before it begins.
