Geo
So we took the box out today, and found that the flywheel looks to be ok, there is some slight play in it. We then looked at the pressure plate, and found this. My question is this, is this too much play on the pressure plate?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsjXtNr9sZM cheers guys
hodge
I had a TRD clutch that came with my gearbox and the bearing was attached like that 1. I had no play on that at all. If it were me, I'd just replace it anyway, to illuminate it from the equation.
Ian W
I'd assumed that this would have been renewed along with (read as part of) the OEM clutch?
Geo
The Gearbox was swapped, new oem clutch installed, and oem gearbox mount. Pressure plate was taking off my old box, and used in the swap over. So this wasn't new. Im reluctant to put it all back together with the new flywheel, as potentially it could mean box out again to replace the pressure plate?? Aaaaah!! Will speak to Jurgen, see what he says? Ian W
A clutch replacement IMO should include a friction plate and a pressure plate though As you say, just need to see what Jurgen says. I wouldn't bother fitting that lot back though without having the pressure plate renewed as well. Geo
A clutch replacement IMO should include a friction plate and a pressure plate though We defo never replaced it, as it was taking from the other box, only new parts were clutch, and gearbox mount.
