Supra Kong
Just out of interest really... to many other things to get first! Would be good to know for future reference But, what would be the loudest exhaust available? One that annoys your neighbours, pulls granny's over as their dogs jump for cover? And can still be fitted with a baffle for track days?
Chris Bailey
4" Boostlogic

Guigsy
You would get nowhere near a track with any 4" My 3" Nur spec on a double decat bpu would just get on a track. Just. But it's not terrifying any grannies. And he can't have a screamer on his tt Edited October 21, 2012 by Guigsy (see edit history)

Supra Kong
That 5" sounds more like it! lol I may not get on track with a 4" but you could stick a baffle in... I take it there is a big difference between Nur Spec and Nur Spec R?

johnny g
I'd not fancy tracking a car that's tuned for an open exhaust and raced with a baffle in it. Check Wez's setup - perfect track setup IMO

Guigsy
A 4" with a baffle is not suited to being raced on a track. it's too restrictive and your egt's will probably end up being too high. It also doesn't reduce the db by that much. You might knock 5 or 10db off if your lucky. And if your putting out 110 that's pointless Db limits on tracks are very low for static and flyby. Arround 95db I think? You have 2 options realistically. 1) fit an exhaust so loud that its uncomfortable to drive any decent distance. People complain and the police pull you over. 2)fit a 'quiet' exhaust that passes noise checks for tracks Or change the exhaust for a quiet one each time you want to track the car. Option 1) Am i the only person in the world that doesnt get uncomfortable with a really loud exhaust? Option 2) Is what i currently have Option 3) Thought about doing that
Nic
A custom straight 4" exhaust with no silencers would be about as loud as you could get.

DodgyRog
JP used to have a Pipe that he could change the back box on rather than the whole exhaust

Gaz6002
A side exit with no silencer would be pretty noisy.
thetrashcanman
NUR Spec R! Mental exhaust, especially once the engine goes above about 4k, I took some friends for a ride in my TT, they where sat in Tescos and could hear me 2 miles away
j_jza80
4" Boostlogic is the best I've heard, 4" Superdragger is very nice though and more readily available.
