uzzyuzzy
Hi Been looking for a rz vvti since selling my GT4 last June. It seems like a perfect market for buyers but prcies are still all over the place. Just came across this on pistonheads and was wondering if it's fairly priced? http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/toyota/supra/toyota-supra-turbo-rz-vvti-6-speed-1998-do-luck-front-px-welco/576447 Toyota Supra Turbo RZ VVTi 6 Speed(1998) Do-Luck Front PX welco (2004) £10,999 Advice welcome Thanks Uzzy
listy
For a 98 single I'd say £11k is a fair price, but can't really say if the car is worth that without seeing it first hand. Is there a member near the car who could have a look for you?
nige-rz
Looks a nice car buddy, and is a good price for a mint vvti 6 speed. Depends if it's that mint in real life. If you've that kind of money definitely speak to Jurgen mate. He's an importer on here and his cars are spotless. Definitely the way I'd go if I was after another. Edit- I've just seen it's a single. Seems a bit cheap to me mate, you'd want to check that over very carefully and find out who built and mapped it. There's no mention of what engine management it's running either? Abz
£11k is cheap for a late 6 speed single, I'd imagine it would be more £15-16k. As mentioned above it depends who has built & mapped it which can determine a good buy. Though let's put it this way, you can easily break this & get your money back, them brakes alone are worth a fair bit
Eddie-S
Looks like it was mapped for economy rather than speed 550bhp and 0-62 in 8.6 seconds but 75 MPG!
Westy
I'd say that was cheap for a 1998 TT6 VVTi...its very cheap when you consider it's a single, but again be wary of who built it and what parts were used.
Havard
Looks good on the surface but then again, so do a lot of cars..!!
tkddav3
looks very nice, he tried his luck by putting it up for 15k! only thing is "500-550bhp" does he not know what power it makes? has it been mapped on a dyno or road map etc?? give him a ring and ask a few questions
abtin90
Is it just me or is there no mention of what the single conversion consists of. I.e what injectors, turbo kit etc?

buster
With a shabby write up of what should be a good single I would be asking a lot of questions manly how can you want to sell a single supra and have no detail of what work has been done.... Dnk
Its a pretty crap advert to say the least which always worries me, is it blue or white ? Is it really a private sale as it screams trader to me. PBC perhaps or is it too cheap for them As a buyer you really need a spec list of parts fitted, who by including who mapped it etc or your in the lap of the gods as to how long it'll last. Looks like a bargain on the face of it, but I'd be very cautious.
Fitz
Strange though, if you click for more pictures some of the thumbnails don't correspond to the Blue Supra advertised. 2-3 pictures I get a white Supra, manual with a white gear knob. Also, 2004 model year? Imported year perhaps.
marc_p
Nothing seems right about it in my opinion, too cheap, no mention of any single parts, vague power figure, no ECU mentioned.......I could go on but the cars not worth it.
James
I clicked to see a closeup of the engine bay pic and instead got a view in the open driver's door of a different, white Supra. On things like that alone, I'd be hesitant. Why wouldn't you list the details that would actually sell the car?!

Px welcome is already a giveaway on that front.
ScottC
I saw a white one parked up there earlier in the year. Edit: come to think of it, is that chucky@wars old supra, wheels have been changed if it is? uzzyuzzy
Thanks for the input guys. I will be speaking to the chap tonight and I have the buyer’s guide right next to me with some probing questions ready.
uzzyuzzy
What a waste of time, no service history, no mot as failed on emissions and no paper work for the work done and not moving a penny on the price. My search continues.....
