ghostbuster
In the last 700 miles or so a noise has started and got worse in the back end, it usually comes in at about 45 mph (sometimes not until 65 or so) it's a kind of slight clicking or ticking with and Hum that gets louder as you get faster (you could almost think there was a lump in the tyre, but there is not). I'm not sure if its the Diff or the drive shafts. Inside the car the sound does appear to be inboard rather than outboard but that could just be the way the sound is traveling. What is the best way to locate it? It's a bit like a sort of wheel bearing noise. Anyone any ideas, have you had this before? Looking at the diff there is a very very light amount of oil around where the drive shaft fits to the diff (L.H.). Regards, Mike.
keron
the wheel bearings seem to be a common thing on these now...so check them. also check the diff oil too. needs to go on a ramp ideally to check it all over though.... sounds like a bearing to me.... Nic
Does the noise go/change when you brake?
ghostbuster
No special noise when the brakes are applied. Just when driving. What sort of job is it to change the wheel bearings? Mike.
sideexitsupra
Your best to get a replacement hub from Keron. Much simpler and cheaper!
