It hasn't got an MOT but I am anticipating what it could fail on...Its not been driven properly for years (only started up and drove around the block). I have been looking on the internet and found the following... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180462976557 I was wondering if anyone had bought anything similar to this or could point me in the right direction or recommend. If you want good brakes, a stock uk set up is good if you dont want to spend a fortune. Things like brakes are not something to skimp on. Become a member now, and keep an eye on the for sale section. bigbloodyturbo Posted October 15, 2012 Share Posted October 15, 2012 Pattern discs from a motor factors are fine imho, ebay is a tricky one as some of the motor factor type sellers on there are working out of their back room and the discs they sell are low quality multi fit cr@p from india or china and the quality control in how they cool the casting and what level of impurities is 'acceptable' in the material when its made can differ. However in saying that I regualarly use pattern discs (blueprint) on my cars from my local factor and have never had a problem, I never buy grooved discs though (dont know if it makes any difference). One thing I would NOT buy from a motor factors is pads, in my opinion the pad and the bedding process undertaken makes the difference, not so much the disc. I have seen some Brembo brakes http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330347116335 The ad claims there the real deal...I called them up to enquire about different parts but didnt like the guys attitude...anyway I'll give the dealers a go unless someone thinks the offer above is a good one. Yea they are local to me too, im from Huddersfield but the car is in London I sent them an ebay message as I wanted more bits, and I got a response back with "whats your reg"...the car has been sorn for years so nothing will come up....I gave him the model and stated its an import and the chassis Jza80 and i haven't heard a thing! thanks for the link matt.
