mellonman
Now i dont know anything at all about exhaust flow rate but what would a 3" that splits off into 2 x 2" flow like compaired to a straight 3" will it flow better as 2x2" makes 4" or is the 3" still the restriction? SteveC
No, it's the 2 x 2" sections that's the most restrictive. The 2 x 2" sections combined have a sectional area of 6.28 square inches, whereas the single 3" section has a sectional area of 7.07 square inches - around a 12.6% increase. Just wondering did you get one made? is this what you was after my stock exhaust for? i asked this question to see weather i could get the stock exhaust to be useable to get my car back on the race track. mellonman
that looks good mate how much was it and what size pipe did you go for? thinking about doing the same with mine as its starting to grate on me abit how loud it is at the moment
scott87
Yer i'm really pleased with it :-) It was £150 all in so a pretty good price. It is ever so slightly larger than the original toyota one. But the shape of the y section is smoother and the path the pipes follow have been shortened to reduce the distance to the backbox. Sounds fab. Does that mean your backbox may not be for sale? Noz
if you have a 3" square tubing exhaust you'd have loads of flow
