Gpro
hi everyone, I am going single very soon i found a garrette T04Z and 2 vband tial wastegates aint sure of size yet for a good price. They both came of a mitsubishi evo. The turbos flange is a T3 but i can just change the housing to a T4 right? 2nd thing do all vband wastegates have the same size flange? as the wastegates looked smaller then my mates turbosmart wastegates but would they definitely fit the whifbitz twin wastegate manifold? Looking for 600RWHP with 850cc injectors, 264 cams and AEM standalone or Syvecs Edited October 13, 2012 by Gpro (see edit history)
Swampy442
You can get T3 to T4 adaptors for manifolds. You realise 600whp is nearly 800 actual hp? Why wheel hp?
Gpro
Are you serious?? I thought it would of been around 680 bhp. Didnt realise it looses that much in the transmission Would a adapter reduce/restrict flow
Swampy442
Youre looking at anywhere between 15 to 20% transmission loss. Why wheel hp? Obviously a smaller inlet will reduce flow and pressure. Theres a T04Z kit on here for sale I think.
Gpro
This one is at a very good price i will change the compressor housing to a t4 What about the wastegates are they usually all the same vband size flange? They are tial
Swampy442
You'll want to change the turbine housing I couldnt tell you re the wastegate flanges but Id assume they will be a common size. What size is the wastegate port on your manifold?

Swampy442
Get a loan/save up, get this, save the hassle. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?277461-T04z-complete-turbo-kit-Brand-new&highlight=t04z
V8KILR
You can get T3 to T4 adaptors for manifolds. You realise 600whp is nearly 800 actual hp? Why wheel hp? Our manual gearboxes are quite efficient and even allowing 15% loss, 600rwhp would be 706hp. OEM autos are another story or course with higher losses (~40rwhp less on a BPU TT for same engine power) and if using a high stall the losses on the dyno can be much higher still depending on the stall.
