np89
Hi guys, ive heard rumours of some sort of re-piping you can do around the turbos to get more boost on the first turbo before it starts to feed the second. Is there any truth in this or does anyone have any idea what im on about?lol thanks Niall
James
Search for TTC mode. The consensus seems to be that it doesn't drive too great in TTC unless you have an ECU remapped when in that configuration.

I had mine like it for a bit but changed it back.
np89
What way does this affect the twin setup then? Still sequential? Can anyone direct me to a full explanatory guide for this TTC craic?
Parry_10
What way does this affect the twin setup then? Still sequential? Can anyone direct me to a full explanatory guide for this TTC craic? Yeh still sequential as that is the question you asked (before it starts to feed the second turbo)? TTC is when both turbos are parallel and come online at the same time. Search it on here. np89
ok so TTC is running them both in parallel. Im not sure if this is the thing im thinking of, the thing i was told about should apparently give me noticable boost about 3k rpm atm, not much happens until im on the second turbo
Dim Sum
Are you referring to Stuart Hagen's EBV mod? There are also another method, have a read here: http://www.max-boost.co.uk/max-boost/supra/boosting_the_beast.htm
listy
If you dont notice a change around 2800rpm, then I'd say you need to have a look at tubby number 1. The pull I get from the first turbo pulls me into the seat quite hard.
np89
dont get me wrong, it is making boost there, just not as much as id like
listy
What other engine modifications do you have? Are you stock? BPU? If you are after more power, then you need to go BPU if not already. If you are already, then single is the next step. TTC works well with a Syvecs S6 when mapped properly, but the Syvecs is a very expensive bit of kit, for not a massive gain on BPU. np89
im BPU with a 1.1bar RR. its not that im looking for more power as the full BPU kick is coming in hard at 4k but i want a better delivery of the power which is why im trying to get lower rpm response
listy
I see. In that case, Syvecs in TTC might be good for you. At least a decent stand alone ECU and get it mapped so the boost on tubby 1 is upped slightly. Either that, or as I said, go single. Someone may be along with more knowledge than me, but those are my views
Ian C
This isn't a TTC thing, it's upping the boost on the first turbo. It can be done, but the results are poor - I tried it once and even a slight increase to about 0.8bar actually lost me power, due to overheated air and the ECU having to pull timing.
