Sounds very nice mate, SRD engine bay boxes are a must to hide all the messy/boring bits. Just take it a step at a time, your get there! im still doing bits to mine.

Yep the engine boxes are a must, since seeing them on Inferno's build it just made so much sense to do! lol

Cheers :)

Again this will depend on what I decide with the power, I have the 6 speed box in the garage but also love how the auto drives, if anything big power wise an SRD built box is pretty much definite.

If you have the manual box mate fit it you won't regret it I went manual before single and the difference in bpu was more than i thought autos suck up to much power

Right, since people were asking yesterday about my plans I started looking at everything I had and exactly what I wanted to achieve out of the setup, I've decided that if I'm going to do it I'm going to do it properly. So to give me a real idea I went through all the build threads where I thought the setup had a good area under the power/torque curve and compared them next to each other:

attachment.php?attachmentid=174502&stc=1&d=1378047598

(please note that some figures have been converted to fly wheel HP so are ~)

Now the aim (and probably a lot of other peoples aim) is to minimise lag and have a very usable power band with good mid range response, I found that Axel's setup fits the bill almost perfectly (considering I already have the 6766DBB turbo means I don't need a new turbo :D ). DanDan's setup is great in terms of early power and torque, the response must be great in that car! And Steve's big twins have a very nice progressive curve which makes the power very usable in terms putting it down (well in terms of putting circa 700BHP down anyway lol and Steve's goes past the 7000rpm limit I used!)! But Axel's isn't too far after Dan's and has a nice power band to the redline. But saying all the above, Dave's when put into context of fly wheel HP is insane for a 62mm tubby, the plus side here is that it's still pulling at the redline and has move to give with a built engine/head!

Given the power and torque levels that will potentially be produced an SRD built box will be in order or I will need to fit my 6 speed box.

This might take a little longer to complete now I want to make it my 'perfect setup' but should be a fun trip!! :eyebrows:

Thanks to the people that snapped me out of not getting this done :D

I will post a spec list once I think I've got a more complete list of parts :)

Im tempted with the stage 3 if im honest as stock can run 650bhp BUT not safely by no means but the stage 3 will be great, stage 4 will be indestructable with the billet parts used

That's why the stage 4 tempts me as if I ever decided to go for more power/a drag focus the gearbox will be there :)

Decent spec list :D, Go with the Walbro 455 Fuel Pump, Flows better than the bosch 044 and is aparently quiter :)

Just a thought though!

Just looking into the fuel pumps as I found an interesting thread about flow testing some of them a while ago from SP:
