I want a good couple of years with the car, before i then decide to move on to other things..... i want to go out knowing i have achieved alot with the car. SPG
Can we have an "Idiots" guide to the different stages please. Stage One: BPU Stage Two: Small Single (t-61) Stage Three: Mid Sized Single 600+ (67mm) Stage Four : FTMFW
Lee P
Basically with each stage the more power it will take, I will add power limits soon. From stage 1 onwards the gear changes will be more positive.
Rob_Mitchell
Would need to see power figures then before i decide. I take it the modifications you do to the box are that of titan/ boostlogic ect? Proven results are obviously not in your favour as its a new product but i would use you all day long. Have you got a box to put in a car yet or a car running it as we speak? For that kind of power you would need a TH400 but the drivability isn't very nice so would really be drag only. We are building a stage 4 box now, we want it to hold 700-800ftlbs
mark newman
what is needed to fit a th400 to the supra .

Lee P
Yeah that will do me! The TH400 is 3 speed yeah? Yeah 3 speed and you shift manually. You have to modify the trans tunnel for it to fit. Needs some parts as well to fit it.

I thought you had to mate a j3 bellhousing to it also... I would have gone th400 as driven a few cars with this box and simular and it felt normal. But also heard for all the mods needed to build it up and fit would cost double of the getrag.
Lee P
It does need a different bell housing yes. I thought you had to mate a j3 bellhousing to it also... Jamesy
TH400 would be an absolute pig to drive on the streets - i looked into one after my BL box melted. As mentioned they are also not a direct fit.... This SRD built box, at stage 4, will be a great bit of kit for serious power autos
