carl0s
I can sit in a carpark, chatting on my mobile to a customer, whilst at the same time using Bluetooth to connect at broadband speeds (384kbit/sec 3G) to the Internet, through the same phone, and VPN to the customers network. How cool is that! All I need now is for Vodafone to drop their Data charges on Voice tarrifs. If I get a Data contract - like what comes with the mobile connect cards, I can get 1,000mb (1gb) of inclusive usage for £45/month + vat. On my voice tarrif (VF400 or something), it costs £2.35 per megabyte. OUCH! Why the hell would I want to buy a Mobile Connect Card when my laptop has bluetooth built in, and I can still make phone calls at the same time, and use less of my laptops battery power
Pete
I too have to stop and think every so often. Compared to when I was a lad playing with my ZX Spectrum the IT world is already a radically different place. It is v.cool indeed, but at a price. As with everything, it'll fall.
