Parry_10
Hey guys, Im going to have my engine bay painted but im wondering should I keep the heat/sound deadening material on at the back of the engine bay? Does it actually make a difference? I got rid of it on my last supra and painted the whole bay.
Rob_Mitchell
Its obviously put there for a good reason from factory to cope with the heat, personally i think it looks awful and does start to show its age. Paint it would get my vote
Parry_10
Mine is actually in quite good condition and as the car is black you dont really notice it so im tempted to keep it and just paint the sides of the bay. I agree it looks better without it but as im not going for a show car look this time round I think it might be better to just leave it there. I did notice with my old supra in the car it was hotter without having it there. Hmm
Littler
With this build are you going for perfection like you previous one? As like you said you can get away with it on a black car EDIT: just read your post

Bossco
It did nothing for me so went in the wheelie bin. Hasnt made any difference that I can notice and it's been off for years.
