How idle sensor works??

Wouldn't that be the rpm sensor? If you're on about the rpm reading at idle then I would think thats electronic and is adjusted by many factors that relay info to the ECU from multiple sensors.

I might be completely missing the point but that's what I'm getting from what you are asking.

The idle air control valve seems a common reason why the idle wouldn't be quite right according to this forum

It supplies the engine with air when the throttle plate is shut. It's a stepper motor that twists a tapered plug in and out of a hole on the intake manifold - the further in the plug goes, the less air can get past into the engine. The ECU controls the precise position of the stepper motor to supply the engine with the amount of ait it needs to idle. This varies depending on the engine temperature and what accessories you're running, e.g. heated rear screen, lights.

There is an engine coolant feed to it to stop it icing up in extreme weather, and there is a fancy rubber one way flap to stop pressurised air escaping under boost, and that's about it :)
