Santa pod BPU supra

Just got back from santa pod today i know the main event is tommorow will properly go back again! my best time was 13.6 on 0.85 bar of boost in a auto, terminal speed 106 mph was a bit disappointed with the time. What kind of times do do auto bpus usually get?

Looks like your first turbo is in better condition then mine as i don't wheel spin at all when launching the auto

That's not bad times imo. How were you launching? I couldn't stop my bpu auto spinning and only managed the same sort of time as you. In fact I found myself easing off until I got moving. Have some drag tyres for next time so hope I can do better, but would say your times were ok. I was standing on the brake keeping the revs to around 2-2.5k and them flooring it until I lost traction then backing off. Are you there again tomorrow?

 

For comparison, out of 13 runs my best

All done on street Vredestiens which was another reason I fond myself backing off at times as I didn't want to wreck them and running just under 1.2 bar with oem ic. So given that you are running much lower boost, you did good.

That sounds like a reasonable time given the boost you were running, I ran 13.93 @ 103 when I was completely stock and your running a tad over stock boost

What slip did you have your RLTC set to when going down the strip ?

As Littler said, you are only running just over stock boost (by 0.5 bar) If you are BPU, up the boost to 1.1 bar (1.2 if you feel happy to) and go again

Not to bad, your only about 3 secs slower than Brian O Conner's highly tuna ed Supra

I wasn't using traction control. Just left foot brake right foot max accelration, let go of the brake.

i have problems with my 2nd turbo it won't let me boost higher. most i get on a cold day is 0.9-1.0 bar with a 1.2 restrictor ring and blitz boost controller set to 100 which in theory it should overboost badly!

 

and i forgot to mension it was originally an NA so open diff no LSD
