Homer
Are these discs on the right way round (this is the drivers side rear)? The interal vents are vertical and not angled.
Dnk
I'd have thought the other way round Edited September 29, 2012 by Dnk (see edit history)
Westy
I'd say wrong way round also.
mellonman
the way in your picture homer is the correct way for optimum braking but does generate more noise and vibration, the other way its slighly less afficent but has less noise and vibration. each to there own i have uk brakes so have the quiet way but if i had jspec i would go for best braking
muzzytt
its what they call the aggresive way , however look for markings on the discs sometime the direction is stamped. just because the vent looks vertical doesnt mean anything the internal passage is whats important . get that wrong and brake temps will sky rocket. best to find out what brand they are and ask ! Homer
Thanks guys. I believe the discs are EBC and there are no rotation marking on them (Will check with Steve, who I bought them off to confirm). According the website they are on the wrong way round, bugger! http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/ebc_3gd_sport_rotors/ebc_3gd_sport_rotors.shtml

-Welsh-Stealth-
Got the same from demon-tweeks. boxes had front/rear, o/s-n/s & are facing the other way
hodge
I'd have thought the other way round I suppose it depends on the manufacturer. My rears are stock grooved and were on the way in the pic Dunk posted, but my front D2s came with a rotation direction diagram which indicated they should go the other way. Just bought some big K-sport rears and I'll be fitting them the same as the fronts.
Samurai 20V
Bump on this.. Is it advisable to swap the brake discs from left to right after they have been on for a while? About 5000kms? According to the manufacturer, mine is on wrong.

Shouldn't be a problem I'd flat the pad faces down using some medium grit wet & dry paper held onto a flat surface then re bed the pads in Edited November 22, 2012 by Dnk (see edit history)
